My name is Claire Benadé and I am a Registered Social Worker. I am currently registered in Alberta and Nova Scotia, meaning I able to see clients in person in Airdrie, AB but can also see clients across Alberta and Nova Scotia via virtual sessions! I work with children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, financial and work stress, and family dynamics as well as working with individuals on sexual orientation and gender identity. As a member of the University of Calgary Rowing Team in both my undergraduate and graduate studies I also have a passion for working with sports related issues.
My work focuses around a client-centered, trauma-informed approach and I use a variety of modalities including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Play-based therapy techniques. I believe that having core competencies allows me to do my best work, while having a range of techniques allows me to find the best suited approach for each individual/family.
