Tharani is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She has earned her Master’s degree in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy and holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Throughout her five years of mental health work, she has been honoured to walk alongside adolescents and adults in their journeys of personal growth. Tharani uses a blended approach of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to help her clients reach their goals and build a fulfilling life.
Through her own journey of ups and downs, Tharani has come to believe that reaching a state of inner peace, happiness, and contentedness is possible. She believes that no matter where you are, you can work toward personal growth with your therapist. One of her most significant values as a clinician is that her clients feel understood. She approaches her work with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity, believing that these are core components for a strong, therapeutic relationship. Tharani’s patience and compassion can be helpful in moving at your own pace. She believes that we all have our own flow, and moving with the current allows us to reach our full potential.
As a believer in cultivating balance in her life, Tharani spends her free time trying out new recipes and going on adventures in both the real world and in video games.
