Making Parenting Connections (MPC) is a 10 week parenting course that offers parents the opportunity to come together in a safe and non-judgemental environment to discuss challenges with parenting and learn different approaches to raising chidren. Learning takes place in a non-threatening atmosphere through discussions, group activities, creative tasks, etc. MPC allows parents to build on their already existing strengths and gain “tools” to use in everyday parenting.
Some of the topics covered include:
· Child Development/Ages and Stages
· Child Temperament
· Attachment
· Communicating With Your Child
· Behavior Guidance
Participants must register before the program begins. Please call the number listed below to have an intake form completed. The class is restricted to 12 participants so registering early is recommended. This course is appropriate for parents who have been requested to take a parenting course and may or may not have their children in their care.
