In the districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin, The Children's Aid Society of the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin is obligated and exclusively responsible for investigating where children are in need of protection from abuse or neglect, and for the adoption of crown wards. The Society must respond and provide services on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year.
