Teaching children is harder today than it has ever been, despite improvements to school curriculum, programs, and teacher education. The reality is that many students’ today often seem unmotivated and disconnected from the learning process. In this program, participants are given insights into the determinants of learning and encouraged to work to help the ‘stuck’ kids they work with. Topics include: the effect of immaturity on learning, the four natural contexts of learning, the adaptive process, and the role of emotion.
