Event Description

The system of mental health care refers to a broad network of services offered by diverse providers across settings. The aim of this presentation is to provide information that empowers attendees to understand this diversity, and consider how they might navigate within it. We’ll discuss the five essential strategies of treatment, the settings in which they are offered, and the various stages or steps in care. Attendees will learn more about the diversity of health care professionals who may be involved in their care (either alone or in teams), and to look at the issue of funding/resources.
