Event Description
It is estimated that 70-80% of people seeking help for substance use, and 15-20% seeking help for mental health, are experiencing concurrent disorders (CCSA, 2013). Co-occurring substance use and mental health problems present challenges for people in accessing comprehensive support and services as, historically, the treatment options have been largely compartmentalized. This course is designed to help participants gain the skills and knowledge to better provide an integrated treatment approach for people with concurrent disorders, ensuring a more positive and effective experience for clients.Disclaimer
