Event Description
Youth Skills for Life is a ten week program for youth ages 12-15 held on Tuesday nights from January 31, 2017- April 4, 2017. Youth Skills for Life teaches life skills that build emotional resilience. Resilience protects youth against stress and enables them to face difficulties and challenging situations.Skills that youth will learn:
Understanding our feelings and other people’s feelings
Developing empathy with family members and teachers
Developing effective relationships
Sports relaxation techniques
Mindfulness skills
Learning to compromise effectively
Choosing constructive friendships
Preventing bullying or being bullied
