Event Description

Do you work with kids who are hostile, defiant, moody, aggressive or calculating? You know the kid who frequently disrupts the day, refuses to work, is easily agitated and acts out aggressively or defiantly. Children and adolescents with ODD, ADHD, anxiety, mood and disruptive disorders are challenging, exhausting and may leave you feeling hopeless about what to do. Attend this seminar and learn many effective and practical interventions that can be readily used to help these challenging kids succeed. Join Dr. Michael Bloomquist, experienced practitioner, researcher and author, for a highly practical workshop that will provide you with effective interventions for the kid that has tested your patience. Leave the workshop with personalized strategies for each kid to motivate change, reduce defiance, aggression and conduct problems. Through case studies, modeling and role-playing, you will discover new interventions to promote kids social and emotional competence. Take away many new techniques that you can use immediately in your practice, in school or with families at home.
