Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO) helps newcomers to Ottawa to participate in the social, economic and political life of Canada. Services are delivered in a variety of languages and include: counselling for immigrants; settlement services; English language classes; multicultural liaison officers in schools assist immigrant children and facilitate parents' involvements in their children's education.

Counselling Program
The Counselling Program offered by OCISO is uniquely equipped to provide clinical counselling services to the immigrant and refugee population in the city of Ottawa. We focus on clients suffering from migration and culture-related issues, and specialize in assisting survivors of war trauma, political persecution, imprisonment, and torture. Services are provided in various languages other than English and French: Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, Spanish,Urdu,Greek, and Tigrinya
