HELP (Healthy Lifestyles Project) For Youth With Mental Distress Local
Status: Active and recruiting
Dates: Fri Nov 13, 2020 to Sat Nov 13, 2021
Getting enough sleep, daily physical activity and limiting the time spent looking at "screens" (e.g., computer, phone, TV) can really help youth experiencing mental distress. We hope to create new resources to help youth improve their sleep, physical activity and screen time. The resources would be available electronically, while youth are waiting for specialized services. We want to talk to youth experiencing mental distress now, as well as those who have experienced mental distress in the past. We also want to talk to their parents. Our goal is to learn what youth think are the best information needed in these e-resources and what electronic format youth would prefer. Want to know more about the study? Contact Miranda DiGasparro, mdigasparro@cheo.on.ca or 613-737-7600 ext. 4005. Study is under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Longmuir.
