Event Description

OCD affects women during pregnancy and after giving birth. It is an under-recognized mental health concern. Mothers are often unwilling to disclose their symptoms due to guilt, shame and fear of judgement from loved ones or others. This group has been developed by an OCD specialist – trained to recognize and treat OCD in the perinatal period. This group will:

1) Provide a place to discuss issues directly related to perinatal and postpartum OCD;
2) Foster and support individuals taking control over their symptoms;
3) Allow question and answer period & informal socializing.

This group will run biweekly on Wednesdays for 4 weeks beginning on April 22nd from 4:30-5:30pm. Participants are expected to adhere to the group rules and the confidentiality policy outlined in the registration package. This group is free, but registration is limited to 5 participants.

Donations towards the RVH COVID Response Fund are appreciated.
